General Description

ChaRisma®CP series is a type of cementitious crystalline waterproofing coating which contains an optimized compound of chemically-activated materials. After coating or spraying on the surface of concrete, a catalytic reaction will takes place between the chemically-activated materials and hydrate of cement. The product of the reaction is a type of water-insoluble crystals, which block the hairline cracks up to 0.5mm and capillary pores in concrete. Those crystals prevent the penetration of water in concrete, improve the strength and durability of concrete.

Classification

ChaRisma® CP consists of ChaRisma ® CP-I and CP-II, whose performances meet the requirements of Type I and Type II in china’s national standard GB18445-2001 respectively.

Main properties

1. ChaRisma® CP produces crystals deeply into concrete and seals automatically hairline cracks whose width is up to 0.5mm;

2. The repairing performance of ChaRisma® CP is activated whenever water occurs.

3. ChaRisma® CP improves the resistance of concrete to hydrostatic pressure up to 1.2MPa.

4. Plastering, painting or tiling can be operated directly on the surface of the coating and the adhesive strength is no less than that between plaster, painting or tile and concrete matrix.

ChaRisma® CP enhances the resistance to the attacks of aggressive chemicals.

ChaRisma® CP contains no volatile organic carriers (VOC). So it is nontoxic and safe for health and drinking water.

The Advantages of ChaRisma® CP Compared to Membrane and Painting

• Wet surface of concrete is acceptable for coating of ChaRisma® CP. Dry surface is unnecessary.
• Priming and surfacing is not required for coating of ChaRisma ® CP.
• The linear coefficient of thermal expansion for coating of ChaRisma® CP is very close to that of concrete matrix. Therefore it avoids the damage to the interface caused by the unsynchronous thermal deformation.
• ChaRisma ® CP produces crystals deeply into the concrete and forms a more integral structure, which can resist much higher hydrostatic pressure.
• The service life of ChaRisma® CP is the same with the concrete matrix and has no any organic deterioration under ultraviolet radiation.

• ChaRisma® CP is applicable to either positive side or negative side

Recommended Use

ChaRisma® CP is particularly suitable for the concrete structures which have less volume deformation and are under humid environments such as:

• Underground Wall and Slab, and any other Below-grade Construction
• Elevator Pit
• Sewage and Water Treatment Tank
• Swimming Pool and reservoir
• Tunnel

Appearances of ChaRisma® CP and the Coating

ChaRisma® CP is grey-coloured powder and its coating creates a cementitious surface.

Dosage

The recommended dosage of ChaRisma® CP ranges from 1.5kg to 2.0kg per square meter of concrete surface, which produces a layer of coating around 0.9-1.2mm thick.
