General Description

GB18445-2001 is China’s first national standard for product quality of cementitious capillary crystalline waterproofing material. Because there is no any other special counterpart in other nations by now, it is also the sole standard on the product in the world. Based on large amount of experimental research, the drafter created the testing method, “the second hydrostatic pressure”, for the measurement of crystalline activity and capability of repairing fine cracks. The method is much more accurate and effective than any other methods, such as measuring the depth of permeating water in specimen under certain hydrostatic water pressure.

It is drafted by China’s National Research Institute of Building Science and TongjiUniversity, and enacted by National Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision of China on 1st, March, 2002.

The revision of this standard is being researched and drafted and will replace the current one next year.
